Daisy Troop 127 stopped by Birchwood Suites to help create St. Patrick's Day decorations for The Avalon Center for Rehabilitation. In April the Daisy's will return to Birchwood Suites to use one of the scenic pond bridges for their "Crossing Over" ceremony to symbolize their graduation to Brownies.

Several residents went on the Birchwood Suites mini-bus to Avalon Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility to present their creations to their surprised residents! A great time was had by all.

Artistic expression reaches a new height at Birchwood Suites Assisted Living Community. Artist in residence, Walter Benko took up painting at the Art Students League when he retired. Oil and acrylic are his mediums of choice. Walter's artistic eye sees beauty all around him – from a still life to portraits, or to landscapes.
Birchwood Suites Assisted Living Community Fair Benefits the Long Island Alzheimer's Association
Clay Pitts Road was abuzz with activities for all ages when Birchwood Suites Assisted Living Community hosted a fundraiser to benefit the Long Island Alzheimer's Association. Activities included live entertainment, a Chinese Auction, and 50/50 raffle plus face painting, a bounce house and spin art for the kids and lots of food for all.

Birchwood Suites Proud Supporter of the American Heart Association National Wear Red Day!
Heart disease is the number 1 killer of women in. Since 2004, the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women initiative has been working collectively with women to help wipe out this killer. Birchwood Suites was proud to host a seminar for residents, family, staff and members of the community led by Sarah Siemers and Robin Weiner of the American Heart Association and North Shore University Hospital.
Cross Country Skiing Enthusiast Resides at Birchwood Suites
